Annette has been involved with swimming her entire life. It is her passion. She learnt to swim at the age of three at the local swimming club. Annette competed for a Metropolitan Swimming Club, then moved on to other water sports including water skiing and diving.
Annette started to teach swimming when she was 15. At the time she worked for Forbes Carlile Swim School for a period of 5 years. Forbes Carlile being one of the early pioneers in the aquatic industry in Australia.
Annette received her Austswim Teaching Swimming and Water Safety accreditation as soon as Austswim became a recognised training authority. Annette gained extensive experience working with asthma affected children when she worked for the Asthma Foundation of NSW through their Asthma Children’s Swimming Programme. While Annette completed her Business Studies Certificates, she co-ordinated the swimming program for the Department of Education and continued teaching at a large regional facility. She has been a qualified Lifeguard. She is skilled in Aquatics Operations and Supervision as well as Aquatic Management.
Annette now operates her own heated pool in Tamworth – A facility which caters for all her student needs and operates 6 days a week. She still enjoys further studies while at the same time teaches others to have confidence in water.
Winter 2024 Annette & Glenn travelled to Samoa where I enjoyed swimming at the beach at Return to Paradise, swimming with the turtles, enjoyed the black sand beach all to ourselves and the Sua Ocean Trench.
